About
The Student Association for Social Work at TWU (SASW) is a club open to all students, faculty and alumni with an interest in Social Work and social work issues who remain current with their dues.
Purpose:
Our purpose is to promote shared learning, community awareness and service, peer connections, networking opportunities and support to our members. We do so while acting as an informational resource and facilitating exposure to the Social Work profession.
How we acheive our purpose:
We fufill this purpose each semester by hosting guest speakers with knowledge of the Social Work field, by creating projects with opportunities for members to serve the community and initiating fund raising endeavors to support our club and its' service projects. Overall, we seek to create a feeling of unity and belonging among members as we explore and celebrate the field of Social Work together.
